| Bio: | "If You Could Only Choose Your Mother" available now at www.samhainpublishing.com   I live with my husband, our two cats, and our two smallest boys. Our oldest lives with his grandmother right now because of conflicts between him and our little ones. I stay at home with the guys and my husband works for an oil company. We are pretty hard up for money, but I wouldn't trade the time with the kids for anything. I can't imagine having a daycare person tell me about their first steps or words. I graduated valedictorian from my high school in 1995 and went on to graduate with honors from the local community college in 1998 with an associates degree. I also received the Austen Riggs Award for Excellence in the Behavioral Sciences that same year. I could have gone to a much bigger school, but I chose the local one because I had never really been away from home before and because it was much easier to afford. That way I avoided any student loans, which is another reason it took three years instead of two. I worked nearly full time the whole way through. I moved to Pittsfield in 1999 after a very bad breakup with my verbally abusive ex-boyfriend. I just needed a fresh start, I guess. I got married in 2001 and I've written for years. I know that a lot of my stuff is worth reading and would appeal to a wide audience, mostly teenagers. I was always a big fan of Lurlene McDaniel, and I was very influenced by her style. I also love to read J.K. Rowling and Stephen King. Lemony Snicket is also a favorite. But in truth, I'll read just about anything. Thankfully, my boys have picked up on the love of reading. They are always after me to read to him. So that's about it in a nutshell so far. Stay tuned for more. | |||||
